Sorry to have disappeared from the blog….
…..but I’m back now!
As I have indicated before, 2009 has been a journey, a year of discovery. Frustrating, rewarding, struggle and excitement – sometimes all in the same day!
I stopped writing because well, no time, life and business got incredibly busy and in the end I was confused on what to write about. Even though I was getting clearer about my business and where is it heading I was confused about my focus and what to write about.
Happily, I can report that it is getting clearer and that there are some scary exciting changes ahead. Can’t say too much yet but it feels as though a corner has been turned, the clouds are clearing and I can now start to set goals and put plans into action.
During this journey of the last few months, I have had quite a few aha moments which has let me know that I do have something to say and that it is time to start writing again.
Working in a mastermind/coaching program like the Fast Track Program from Melanie Benson Strick & Success Connections has been a turning point for me. One of the tools they utilize in the program is one of the best info products I have purchased to date, it is called The Ultimate Success Generator. If you are looking for clarity in your business and where it is headed, I personally think this is one of the best places to get started.
Creating a new plan, a new direction is not easy and if you get the help you need, not always cheap either. These decisions are hard but coming out the other side I have realized that it really and truly is an investment and is helping me get “there” faster then I ever could have on my own.
Finding support, understanding and the occasional kick in the rump is important especially for those of us who work from home and do not have that day to day interaction. This is especially true for those of us who are extremely creative and get overwhelmed with all of the resources and ideas that come to us everyday.
So there you go, a eensy teensy weensy hint at some of the things I have been discovering this year and where my business focus is starting to be. As I learn more and have a few more concrete plans in place I’ll be sharing more.
It’s good to be back and it is good to be writing again
What is the plan for your business?
Having a plan, we hear that all the time. We hear the importance of having a plan, goals for your business and how important it is for the growth and success of a business.
But…
How many of us actually have a plan? If you have a plan is it written down? Does it have action steps? Does it account for both the long and short term?
These are questions that I have been asking myself. As I have mentioned before, 2009 is a year of growth and changes, keeping up with these changes and creating a plan that is in alignment with my values is important to me.
There is a book I read years ago that has a title that always stays with me, “Growing a Buisiness Creating a Life”. As a small business owner who works out of my home, the two are intertwined and making sure that the two align feels somewhat tricky at times.
To help me create a plan and stay on track I am thinking a business coach is a resource that I want to take advantage of.
Join me for a preview call of the Fast Track to Lifestyle Business with Melanie Benson Strick. On May 5th & 7th.
It is all about timing
You have to be ready, you have to be at a point where you know it is time to take action and be open to the advice and information around you.
To change your mindset from self-employed (creating your very own j-o-b) to that of a business owner, is not a step that can be forced on you, you have to be ready.
When you are ready, I would highly recommend that you listen to an incredible 4 teleclass series from Melanie Benson Strick. I was on the mailing list when this class was first advertised back in October 2008 but had not been able to find the time to listen. Recently I ran into these recordings again and started to listen to the recorded calls and realized that I was ready.
Ready to take action.
Ready to take my business to the next level.
Ready to get clarity and create a plan of growth.
Are you ready?
